Last week BlogTradeFinder has entered public beta. I made it to make trading links easier.
I got the idea of the
thumblogger forum and other trading forums, trading on these forums did work, but it could be made much smoother and easier. That's why i made BlogTradeFinder, it is a 'setup once and leave' system, cause once you have added your blogs you don't need to login anymore: you will simply receive a email when someone wants to trade with you. Your email address will never be visible to anyone, all communication goes via Private Messages.
Many people use it for SEO/PR purposes and/or for feeding another blog.
You can get a number 1-3 position with a thumblogger within 1 or 2 days, of course not on a really popular keyword (that takes a bit longer).
Now imagine doing this 5 times and link all 5 blogs to your main blog. The result is quality SE traffic and nice incoming links (for PR).
A couple day back i got a interesting question
"Another question. MSN search picks up
Find Fun, Romance, Love and More. Meet Someone Now: Find men - Find women
and places it in the description, thats affecting my SEO. is there anyway to stop that or does anyone else have that problem or is it just the template im using which is block"
My reply
That is not true, if you put a add on a website it doesn't affect any SEO. All SEO know where to look for content.
Just look at this:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=nubile+dina&btnG=Google+Search
The first link saids:
"A collection of thoughts about the girl of my dreams Dina."
(the meta description)
The second link saids:
"Welcome to my Nubile Dina fan blog. As you can see i'ma BIG fan of Dina, i collect everything. ... A movie with a nude Nubile Dina on a dark yellow couch. ..."
(that's a part of the sticky text and the first log entry)

At the above url you are searching for 'thumblogger' so google is smart enough to display the part of the blog that contains thumblogger and that is only the topbar. If you search for another keyword then google will display the part of the blog that contains that keyword and not the topbar. Just try it.

Yup, it's right, but their is a nuance to be made.
As you said blogs with 'sexual explicit content' is a no no on blogger. But if you just like to tell adventures which you had with your latest girlfriend or blog about your erotic fantasies then you can just go with blogger.

sex blog'
(note: by "last", I mean "last as a good way for adult sites to get search engine traffic")
The best and the smartest ones will survive.
Like always.
Finally: sex blogs are just sites, but then regular updated. Can SE see the difference between a site and a blog?
The lines were clear some time ago, but are becoming quite vague.
Free adult blog services without banners are guarenteed to introduce banners when they get bigger. Why? Because this business is not charity, they must pay their hosting bills and support desk.
A exception is google and some other major company like adult.com they have enough resources to offer a bannerless service. But sooner or later banners will appear.
Now you have 2 choices:
1. go with a bannerless service and be cheated hard after a half year.
2. go with a service like thumblogger. With thumblogger you know what you get: a small topbar.
Above all thumblogger is in the business for over 1 year, the other services are just 1 or 2 months old. I've seen already 3 adult blog services in a half year that were shutdown and their blogs were deleted.
Now i ask: would you want to build a blog with traffic and all and discover on 1 saturday morning that your blog is gone? I don't think so.
History tells truth: bannerless hosting, like we all know it did fail, no one can deny this fact.

I've just launched a new site
Adult Blog Resource. It's a site that has categorized links for adult webmasters interested in blogs.
Last weekend i have been busy filling this website and i think it's already quite full. But if you still know a link that is related to adult blogs (or sex blog) please send me a email or use the 'Add your site' link at the bottom of the website.

I just got my hands on three new ipod domains:
nakedpod.com
Dare to see your pod naked
penispod.com
We all know those movies
shakingpod.com
That's what you get when you do two things, watching and .. :)
Last 5 minutes i spend looking at log files of thumblogger. It seems that someone identified as 'ichiro/2.0' is doing some strange things, he onces visits a couple pages of the forum, he than visits random blogs. I grepped through the old logs and found a lot hits 'ichiro/2.0', he seems to like do random things.
Google didn't really know the answer, but i found
a funny log entry about 'ichiro/2.0'

GoogleBase is Live!
1. Why should I use Google Base?
If you have information you want to share with others, but aren't sure how to go about gaining an audience, Google Base is for you.
If you don't have your own website, we'll host your content for you. You'll be able to choose labels and attributes that can draw more attention to the content you're showing. And, based on their relevance, your items may appear on Google, Froogle, or Google Local.
Google Base is free. Plus you're always in control – you can edit or archive your items at any time.
It's a fricking shame that adult content is not allowed...
I've just made a great sql query which gives me all the real splog sex blogs at sexblogdemon.
My definition of a splog blog is a bit different that the
weaky wikipedia splog definition, but i'm not going to tell it because it maybe used by bloggers to get around my splog detection routine.
The list of dumped sex blogs gets really BIG at
sexblogdump. When i may believe
google results its size is already over 100KB. And it isn't really easy navigate, maybe i will categorize the blogs and put them in different pages. I think google and other search engines will like more pages better than one really big page, although sexblogdump.com is doing fine on all major search engines at the time of writing.
At
thumblogger they have a new features called 'auto links'.
If you for example enter 'search' as word and 'http://www.yahoo.com' as url, the autolink feature will convert every 'search' word in a log entry to a hyperlink which points to 'http://www.yahoo.com'. Like:
search
It's handy!

I have my 3 blogs on the same ip at the moment.
Are there any risk of getting banned if I crosslink them?
Don't interlink them all, you can link from 1 blog to another blog without problems, but if you do more you might get in trouble. Just link to the one which needs it the most.

This evening i've been busy adding 400 new blogs to
sex blog demon, it's a really boring job submitting everything by hand.
If i knew how boring it was i would likely wrote a script for it.
Unfortunally their is stil more boring work for me waiting: all these 400 new blogs need to be categorized in the right category. I wish i had enough money to outsource it to india ;)

It seems that google is almost ready with the 'Jagger' thingy (a update of the google search result). And look what i found out: i'm at top of two popular keywords. You should check you stats and see if your blog is also moved to the top.
Interesting links about Jagger
I get a lot of question of people not knowing how to start a sex blog. A sex blog is just like a blog, so you can use all 'how to start a blog' tutorials on the world wide web. Here is a good one:

Yup, now you can integrate Internet Explorer into Firefox. IE browser will appear in a tab just like a normal website. I'm going to test it.

On Adult Insider (a board for adult webmasters) someone posted a link to
a place where you can get your own .be domain name.
To be honest i don't trust this. Better pay a couple of bucks and be sure that you own the domain for live than getting cheap and risc losing the domain..
I found this little tool it will show you the results of your query from both Wordtracker and Overture for determining which phrases are searched most often.
Digitalpoints suggestion tool
Handy for choosing your keywords for your sex blog. But don't choose the popular ones, cause with the popular keywords it's much harder to get at the top of the search results at google or yahoo.
It appeared that google is busy with something called 'Jagger'. This means that google is doing a update of their search results. So the data centre i used was still using a old version of the search database. This caused my sex blog to appear only after i clicked the '1' link to the first result page.
I hope google will quickly finish the 'Jagger' thing cause it drives me crazy.

A interesting thread appeared on
Netpond entitled "Googlebot and PHPBB doesn't work".
It's about the fact that PHPBB and GoogleBot aren't happy with each other and that GoogleBot isn't going to spider PHPBB. This can be solved by applying a hack to PHPBB.
Google is acting strange today:
- i searched for a keyword
- my sex blog wasn't on the first result page
- i went to result page 2
- my sex blog wasn't on second result page
- i went back to result page 1
- my sex blog was on result page 1
Strange!

You may want to read the article below, it's a great read when you are worried about someone stealing your sex blog content. Here's a small quote.
"At first glance, it seems like a regular blog. But look closer and you'll see there's something very odd about the blog's content: It's very familiar. Too familiar. That's because you wrote it, six months ago, on your own blog. The rest of the content doesn't make sense: The same word repeated over and over again. There are ads all over the sidebar for products like Viagra and mortgage loans. This you realize is a splog and you're the victim."

"Color is often overlooked in the business of optimizing websites for better returns on investments. Website sales can be greatly affected by simply changing its colors."
How to choose your sex blog colors
Thumblogger has just added a new feature:
"Now you can upload a image from your computer directly into a log entry of your sex blog."
Very handy, cause now you can skip uploading to ImageTurtle.
